We take full responsibility for the Chiefs’ victory, so you’re welcome, denizens of Kansas Missouri. Why do we claim responsibility? Well, because on Friday, we asked you who your favorite chief was in comics. And, while the game last night had a lot of back and forth, this was decidedly less well matched.

64.3% of our readers said that Perry White was the best chief in all of comics. Despite hating being called that, it is hard to argue with our readers. The character is also, perhaps, best known for his television and film versions, particularly played masterfully by John Hamilton on Adventures of Superman, Jackie Cooper in the Christopher Reeve films. No offense to Laurence Fishburne, Frank Langella, or Lane Smith.

In what was a total sweep of the category, DC took the only other four spots to get votes as well, with “Doom Patrol” honcho Niles Caulder coming in second with 17.9% of the vote. Apache Chief, made most famous by Superfriends, came in third with 10.7% of the vote, and tied for fourth place were Batman ’66‘s Chief O’Hara and Super Chief, aka Wild Stag.

Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
