On Friday, we asked what your favorite series written by Tom King is. With his “Strange Adventures” debuting last week, it seemed as good a time as any to check in on what is one of the most successful writers of the past half-decade.
2018-2019’s “Mister Miracle” took first place in our poll, with 30.7% of the vote. The series, which was a commercial and critical success, seems most closely related to “Strange Adventures,” both illustrated by Mitch Gerads and take historically supporting characters and putting them in a new light.
Coming in second was “The Vision,” with 19% of the vote. The series, King’s only major work for Marvel, is reported to be part of the inspiration behind the upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision.
Pulling up in third was “The Omega Men,” King’s first solo series at DC, and the book that was saved from the brink of cancellation by fan uproar. That series, which starred Kyle Rayner and some long-forgotten DC characters, in many ways set the tone for King’s future work.
And, one brave reader voted for “Heroes in Crisis.”
Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
