On Friday, we asked our readers to vote on who they felt did the best work of 2022 on the artistic front. We listed 20+ artists who were highlighted by our staff in the internal voting for our Best Artist category, and asked the voters to not just parrot our picks, but make their own. And while the rest of the top three don’t match up with our three, the top spot seems to be unanimous.
Dan Mora, late of “Batman/Superman: World’s Finest,” took the honors from our readers, with 22.2% of our readers selecting him from our big list. With Mora moving over to “Shazam” later this year, it’ll be fun to see him take on a new corner of the DCU.
In second place, 20% of our readers selected Daniel Warren Johnson of “Do a Powerbomb!,” while 13.3% selected “Human Target” artist Greg Smallwood.
