Reader Poll Results: Scott Lang Has Shrunk His Way Into Our Hearts

On Friday, we asked our readers who their favorite comic book Ant-Man is, in honor of the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. (If you missed our review of the film, you can read it here.) Before we get into the voting proper, we must pour one out for Eric O’Grady, the third Ant-Man, the irredeemable one, who not a single fan voted for in our poll. They weren’t joking about his irredeemability. Sheesh.

Anyway, the slam-dunk winner of this poll was Scott Lang, who trounced Hank Pym with a 69.4% to 30.6% victory. Now, I don’t mean to call bullshit on our readers, because I, myself, am a Lang fan, but this seems to be the Paul Rudd effect. And look, I don’t blame you: Paul Rudd is an ageless, beautiful, hilarious, seemingly kind man. Him playing Lang has seemingly put Lang more in people’s consciousness than before, because pre-Ant-Man, I cannot imagine this poll being this lopsided.

That said, a lot of early Ant-Man stuff is very dated and, if you’re not a fan of the classic Stan Lee dialogue, can maybe not jibe too well with your tastes. I still blame Rudd. Stupid, sexy Rudd.

Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
