On Friday, we asked our readers to vote for their favorite villain on Batman: The Animated Series. While there are many fantastic choices for this, we all sort of knew that one performance would rise above the rest. And it did.
With 28.1% of the vote, Mark Hamill’s performance of the Joker was the winner of our Reader Poll. This should surprise no one, as Hamill’s performance is iconic, fantastic, and one of a kind.
Coming in second is Michael Ansara’s performance as Mr. Freeze which, perhaps, is the centerpiece of the greatest ever episode of Batman: The Animated Series, “Heart of Ice.” Rounding out the top three is Clayface, as performed by Ron Perlman.
As we said on Friday, there’s really no bad answer here; this cast is among the best of any cartoon in TV history. We love polls like this, as it lets us celebrate bits of comics history that we know and love, regardless of who wins.
