On Friday, inspired by the recently announced comic adaptation of The Man Who Fell to Earth, we asked which David Bowie acting showcase you would like to see adapted next. While I was very happy to see one person vote for both The Last Temptation of Christ and Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence, the films that I suspected may get the most votes did.

Coming in first with 30.8% of the vote was The Prestige, the Christopher Nolan film where Bowie played Nikola Tesla, the inventor/futurist who is responsible for alternating current electricity, among other things. It is coincidental that the second place finisher, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (which got 23.1%), is part of a series that features the concept of alternating current in a very prominent way (note: very prominent means that if you obsess over the details of the series and talk about it on the internet. The casual viewer may have no idea).

Finally, tied for third place were vampire film The Hunger and Jim Henson musical Labyrinth. All of these would make very fun comics.

Join us on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
