On Friday, we asked our readers who their favorite comic book lawyers are and, much to my chagrin, the vast majority of poll takers went literal with this, and no one chose Judge Dredd, Ronan the Accuser, and only one brave soul picked the Living Tribunal.
Oh well, so much for fun!
Of the wet blankets that voted, 51.6% of them went with Matt Murdock as their favorite lawyer in comics. This is hard to argue with, as he’s both a very good lawyer, a very cool superhero, and one that we probably, along with our #2 choice, get to see the most as a lawyer. While I’m sure Harvey Dent was a good attorney, the only time we ever see him in court is a flashback to that one time he got acid chucked in his kisser.
As I mentioned, the second place option, Jennifer Walters with 25.8% of the vote, is also shown in court quite a bit, and even has “Attorney at Law” in the title of her television series. A distant third with 12.9% is DC’s best practicing attorney, Kate Spencer.
