Reader Poll Results: Our Readers Want Conan Comics, Regardless of Who Publishes Them

On Friday, we wanted to take the temperature of our readership on the move of Conan the Barbarian comics from Marvel to Titan Comics. Conan is a strangely enduring comic character (just ask famous collector Barack Obama), but one that has often operated on the periphery of your garden variety superhero fandom.

For that reason, it isn’t surprising that 51.5% of our readership said that they didn’t care where Conan comics were being published, because they’d follow them anywhere. Conan fans are loyal, and so it makes total sense that they’d not really care about the cornerbox, or really if the character is crossing over with other properties or not.

24.5% of fans vote that either they don’t read Conan comics or will miss Conan being a part of the greater Marvel Universe. The second point is more interesting to me; I, admittedly, did not read much “Savage Avengers,” but it always seemed like a bit of an odd fit to place Conan in the 616. But it appears that at least a chunk of our readers thought otherwise.

Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
