On Friday, we asked our readers which of the ‘Fall of X’ books had them most excited for the new status quo. This was one of our closest polls in recent memory, with a number of books clustered together near the top. But, in the end, our readers want things dark. They must love the lighting in modern cinema, am I right?
“Dark X-Men,” a new series launching in August from Steve Foxe and Jonas Scharf took tops in our poll, collecting 20.5% of the vote. Tied for second place with 15.9% were a trio of titles: “X-Men Red,” “Immortal X-Men,” and “Children of the Vault.” Rounding out the top tier, in third place was “Uncanny Spider-Man” with 11.4%. That title is, perhaps, the most intriguing of those announced, along with “Invincible Iron Man,” just due to how infrequently those characters appear in mutant books.
