On Friday, we asked our readers which of the ‘From the Ashes’ X-books announced so far was the most anticipated. We’ve done a few of these before, and so I had an idea of what the results will be. I was very, very wrong.

60% of our readers chose “Wolverine” by Saladin Ahmed and Martín Cóccolo as their most anticipated book. While this is a very interesting creative team and a very popular character, the excitement from our readers still somewhat surprised me.

The second and third place titles were less unexpected, with “Uncanny X-Men” by Gail Simone and David Marquez and “X-Men” by Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman rounding out the top three with 14.4% and 12.2% of the vote, respectively.

Interestingly, only two books got no votes whatsoever: “NYX” by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing and Francesco Mortarino and “Exceptional X-Men” by Eve L. Ewing and Carmen Carnero.

Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
