Last week, the comics world mourned the loss of Keith Giffen, the long-time writer and artist who had his hands in just about every major superhero title of the last forty years. In honoring Giffen, we listed some of our favorite Giffen stories, as well as the stories that are widely regarded as Giffen’s best, as our Reader Poll for the week. Our readers came out in droves, with more than three-times the usual votes coming in for this Giffen poll.
With those extra voters, 27.9% of them voted for Giffen’s work on “Legion of Super-Heroes,” where he was often paired with writer Paul Levitz. In second place came “Justice League International” with 23.5% of the vote. Rounding out the top 3 is, perhaps, the greatest Marvel cosmic event of all time, “Annihilation,” whcih brought in 17.6%.
Thanks to all who voted, and check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll, when hopefully we’ve all recovered from NYCC.
