Reader Poll Results: Our Readers Aren’t Too Happy With “Knight Terrors”

On Friday, we asked our readers what they thought of DC’s summer plans, which involves pausing most of their monthly books for July and August for the “Knight Terrors” event. While there are lots of ways to do events, DC has occasionally done these super compressed schedules that push out almost everything else and focus on just the event and its tie-ins. What is interesting about this approach is that the event in question are never the ones that reshape the entire line like, say, “Death Metal” or “Dark Crisis.” It is always the events that seem pretty forgettable as soon as they’re over. Perhaps this is why our readers voted the way they did in this poll.

35.8% said that their DC reading will go way down during these months, and that they don’t like this approach. 34% are skipping those months altogether. 13.2% will be reading less, but keeping up with the event in some way, and 17% like the compressed format.

It’s incredible to me that 83% of our readers will be reading less DC for those month.

Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
