On Friday, we asked about your favorite DC TV villain of the past couple of years. This distinction was important, otherwise half of the choices would’ve been Batman ’66 villains and the Luthors from Smallville. But you voted, and the choice was clear: Doom Patrol‘s Mr. Nobody is your favorite DC TV villain.
The role is elevated by the great Alan Tudyk, who has improved every show or film he’s ever appeared in, and the uniqueness of Doom Patrol as a series allows him a little more leeway than some of the actors in, say, CW series. In other words, this wasn’t a surprising win, with 24.3% of the votes going to him.
Coming in second place was Manu Bennett’s portrayal of Deathstroke on Arrow, garnering 16.2% of our readers’ votes. A big, brooding Australian, Bennett presented a Slade Wilson that wasn’t all that similar to the comics version, but established a tone and presence in the Arrowverse that is still resonating, despite Arrow being off the air.
And finally, tied for third with 13.5% were Rachel Skarsten as Alice on Batwoman and the great Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor on Supergirl.
Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
