On Friday, we asked our readers to select their favorite ongoing series of 2022, based on our ‘big list’ from our internal poll that determined our 2022 Year in Review categories. While our staff voted for “X-Men: Red” as their favorite ongoing series of 2022, that is not what our readers put atop their list. All told, 22 of 24 books got votes in the poll, so we apologize to “X-Men” and “Detective Comics” from the big list. Don’t worry, you were still pretty great this year.
In a very slim victory, Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo’s “Nightwing” topped the fan poll, garnering 11.7% of the vote. “Nightwing” has been a remarkably consistent and fun title since Taylor came onboard, and it is nice to see fans continue to enjoy and stick with this run.
Tied for second were a couple of books from the House of Ideas and one from Image: “Daredevil” and “X-Men: Red,” along with “Department of Truth,” each got 10.4%. “Moon Knight,” “Action Comics,” and “Immortal X-Men” all accounted for 6.5%. Interestingly, “Action” was the only of the top vote-getters that didn’t appear in our top 10.
