On Friday, we asked who our readers felt was most likely to be the next host of the Phoenix Force, as prophesied in “Avengers” #43. We laid out all the potential hosts, and left a spot for a wildcard who has yet to be revealed, as we figured that, this being comics, that was a likely outcome.
Well, it appears that our readers agreed. as 49.4% of them feel that the new host will be a surprise one, not yet announced. While it is sometimes wise to bet on the field, it seems like our readers don’t feel like the options laid out by Jason Aaron are likely at all.
Of the options that were laid out, 16.9% felt that Red Widow was most likely, while 11.7% thought She-Hulk was going to be the new host. Surprisingly, 7.8% felt that Zabu, Shanna’s pet smilodon, would be the next host. Who knows, stranger things have happened.
