On Friday, we asked our readers which of the three newly announced second wave of ‘From the Ashes’ X-Men books was the most appealing: “NYX,” “Phoenix,” or “X-Force.” Each of these books has an interesting hook that sets it apart from both the other two announced titles, as well as from the other X-books of recent note. Perhaps because of that, this is one of the closer polls we’ve featured in awhile.
Eking out first place was “NYX” from the creative team of Colin Kelly, Jackson Lanzing, and Francesco Mortarino with 43.3% of the vote. This series features Kamala Khan, who is always a hit with our audience, so it seems likely that folks are excited about her greater integration into the mutant side of Marvel.
Coming in second was “Phoenix” by Stephanie Phillips and Alessandro Miracolo with an even 30%, with “X-Force” by Geoffrey Thorne and Marcus To coming in a close third with 26.7%.
