On Friday, we asked our readers what their favorite streaming-era Star Trek series is. When putting together this poll, I thought that nostalgia would take over and Picard would steamroll the competition. Not so!
With 39.3% of the vote, Star Trek: Brave New Worlds came in first place. Maybe this is recency bias as a season recently wrapped up, but regardless, our readers really dig the series. Since it will be awhile before the third season arrives, due to the Hollywood strikes, if you’ve missed out on this series, there’s no time like now to dig in. In fact, that goes for any of these.
In second place with 32.1% is the animated, more humorous Star Trek: Lower Decks, of which the fourth season is ongoing right now. Rounding out the top three is the aforementioned Picard, which recently closed the book on the series.
