Reader Poll Results: Our Readers Are Indifferent to Vertical Scroll Comics

On Friday, we asked what our readers thought of the new trend of vertical scroll comics. While this has been a topic of conversation across the comics internet, it was surprising to see how balanced our readers’ positions were, and the lack of a real strong opinion on the topic.

38.1% of those polled felt indifferent about the reading experience, not having a strong preference over the scroll vs guided view debate. 33.3% felt that the scroll provides a better overall experience, while 28.6% prefer the guided view to the scroll.

I think that just about everyone would agree that the comic you’re reading has far more to do with your enjoyment than the style of reading employed, but with the vitriol on both sides of the issues, at least on Twitter, it’s surprising, and refreshing, to see our readers take a more measured approach.

Check back on Friday for our next Reader Poll!
