On Friday, we reflected on the recently wrapped up ‘X of Swords’ event, and were debating its place among Jonathan Hickman’s overarching X-Men story. Unlike a lot of our polls, every option was reasonably well represented, with only one position failing to reach double digits. It seems that, unlike the earlier pieces of the story, ‘X of Swords’ was a bit controversial among readers.

That said, 37.5% of our readers feel that it is a worthy continuation of the stories that came before it. While this is not an entirely glowing endorsement, it shows that a good chunk of our readers feel the story was effective on multiple levels. 22.%% felt that it didn’t reach the heights of what came before it, but it was still a good story.

18.5% felt the event was ‘just ok,’ 14% felt it was outright bad, and 7% felt it was the best thing from the Hickman run thus far. That’s quite the diversity of opinion, especially for something as universally acclaimed as Hickman’s run thus far.

Check back on Friday for the next Reader Poll!
