On Friday, we asked you to share your thoughts on DC’s Round Robin, the company’s now annual tournament asking fans to choose from different pitches for a new, digital-first miniseries. 31 percent of you opined the concept was a bad one, calling it a waste of good ideas, while another 16.7 percent of you expressed disappointment DC were doing it again, picking the option asking if they “learned nothing from last time?” 7.1 percent of you expressed dismay DC would let these pitches duke it out like this, while greenlighting something like “Batman/FaZe Clan.”
28.6 percent of you felt the idea was a fun one, but that the lack of information on who would be helming each project (at least in the first round) was a major issue, as it meant readers were potentially voting for a title they would eventually hate. A mere 14.3 percent outright said the tournament was a good concept, because it would allow at least one series that might not otherwise happen, to see the light of day. Overall, 54 percent of you had negative feelings about the Round Robin contests.
