On Friday, we continued our four-week series of asking about the best ‘Future State’ title of the week. The series that won this week’s poll, I would presume, won it for its first 10-15 pages, which look to not really be where the second issue will be focused on, but it was such an effective opening that it is hard to blame our readers for being enamored with it.

“Future State: Superman Worlds at War” took tops in our poll, with 30.3% of the vote. This issue, if nothing else, got people excited about what Phillip Kennedy Johnson may do with control of the Super-books heading into ‘Infinite Horizon.’ It also didn’t hurt that the Midnighter backup was a ton of fun, and that, despite it being weirdly out of order, the Mister Miracle backup was also really enjoyable.

In second place came a tie, with Batman’s two closest companions, Dick Grayson and Selina Kyle each getting 18.2%. “Future State: Catwoman” and “Future State: Nightwing” both featured incredible art and stories that seemed like they’d be more interested if not having to be condensed into just two issues of a series.

Rounding things out, “Immortal Wonder Woman,” with 15.2%, came in third. This issue was a visual feast, courtesy of Jen Bartel’s art, but felt a little out of sorts with the rest of ‘Future State.’

Check back on Friday for our final (for now) ‘Future State’ poll!
