Coming in November, we have a new Spider-Girl title from Marvel Comics starring Araña of Young Allies fame. This news comes directly from Rich Johnston of Bleeding Cool (respectfully, he informed us of this at an earlier juncture), and doesn’t give us much more detail than the fact that this book will exist and that the issue of Previews it is in features a truly horrible J. Scott Campbell piece. So that’s cool.
Regardless, I find it interesting that Marvel is launching this book. Not so much because its actual existence, but the fact that it will be called Spider-Girl. Didn’t this past week’s “Grim Hunt” finale feature Araña telling Peter Parker that she hated the name Spider-Girl? Odd.
Still, Araña fans rejoice, as your favorite hero will have her own title this November.
