Hi folks! Welcome back to our weekly recap of The Flash. This week’s episode is named “P.O.W.” and a ton of things happened! Pretty much each member had a storyline to follow here! Let’s dive right in.

1. The Goodspeed Civil War is raging

The whole premise of this episode is the fact that the Godspeeds are still running around the city, fighting each other, and Barry and Team Flash are barely capable of dealing with all of them, we are not talking about stopping them, only saving people around the fights and not getting killed themselves.

Barry is stressed out, he dreamed again about his daughter and this time she is in problems, he also is being hunted by the other speedsters and their options are coming short of ending this crisis, fortunately and old ally comes back: John Diggle is here to help.

2. The entropy trap

Fortunately, Diggle spoke with Cisco and he sends him with a device that is able to trap anything or anyone by stopping their movement, exactly the kind of trap that could work with a speedster.

They trap one Godspeed and put him on S.T.A.R. Labs’ jail, but while they are trying to communicate with him, he is listening to every move Team Flash make, he reveals that they didn’t ask to be born but they don’t want to die either, so they are looking for the original Godspeed, August Heart, because whoever gets to him, will be able to dominate all the other copies.

He asks Barry’s help, and after he refuses, the villain escapes from his imprisonment and, after trying to kill Flash, flees.

3. The hunt

Meanwhile, Joe and Kramer escaped from last week’s attack, but Adam Creyke is hunting them, after a while they set up a trap and decide to confront him. Creyke reveals that he became a bounty hunter and paid assassin.

The Army failed him, he suffers from PTSD and knew that as a veteran he will be forgotten, and if the Vets are poorly treated sometimes, I can only assume that Native American Vets have it worse, so he got ahead of the curve and chose to find, let’s say a new business opportunity.

Creyke also reveals that he has died sixteen times, and that Kramer died that day, does that mean that she is also a meta?

4. Hope dies

After last week’s surgery, Esperanza/Ultraviolet is recovering successfully, but instead of waiting to get fully recovered, she decides to go on a mission to kill ex-members of Black Hole, and she asks Allegra for help, but she refuses because a) she’s busy with the Godspeeds, b) she doesn’t want to kil, c) her cousing is still recuperating and d) she doesn’t have experience.

Ultraviolet tells her that we all have to take a path, and either Allegra goes with her, or the family is over. Allegra chooses to stay, and later she teleports to where her cousin is, her wounds are mortal and she blames Allegra for not going with her, so, the newest recruit of Team Flash is now filled with guilt.

5. Setting up the season finale

And that’s it, basically, this was one of those “transition” episodes where not much action happen but the pieces start to get set for the season finale, coming in two weeks. By the way, Iris is with Deon because she is going in and out of the timeline, so she has been mostly absent for three episodes now.

No, Diggle didn’t end up being the Flash in this episode. Back in May, CW’s CEO Mark Pedowitz told on a press call (reported by Deadline) that the eighth season of The Flash will have a “crossover-like” five-part event at its start, that includes every episode broadcasted in the end of 2021, here, I’m speculating, is where we will finally see what’s in Diggle’s glowing box.

Here’s my very unlikely pitch, Cecile talked about feeling infinites in Diggle’s head, so, maybe he will be the Green Lantern of this earth, but also, David Ramsey will be John Stewart on HBO’s Green Lantern, and they are dopplegangers so, Diggle is connected to Stewart and that’s why his head hurts. How crazy does that sound?

BONUS: Oh! I almost forgot, the real Nora comes back in time, and this time she brought with her a new brother: Bart Allen!
