Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.
– This is pretty cool: Oni Press has split ties with production company Closed On Mondays in order to form Oni Entertainment, a studio that will allow them to adapt the creator owned comics that they publish into film, TV and video games. This is something I hope works it well largely because I want to see a TV show of Cullen Bunn and Joelle Jones’ “Helheim”.
– The Rocketeer is going to war in the new series, “The Rocketeer At War”, by Marc Guggenheim and Dave Bullock. This sounds pretty neat and I love Dave Bullock, so why not?
– Apparently, Ryan Ferrier and Daniel Bayliss are teasing a new comic together from Boom! Studios. I need this. I need this a lot, actually.
– Are you tired of zombies? Too bad! Because George Romero’s “Empire Of The Dead” series is being adapted for TV by AMC because I guess The Walking Dead is still popular enough? Either way, I hope it’s better than Romero’s last couple of films.
– Finally, be on the look out for more footage of Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice according to producer Charles Roven. Likely this’ll be a move to try and steal some attention away from The Force Awakens and the inevitable Captain America: Civil War trailer that’ll be attached to it.
