To celebrate our “Evolution of Abe Sapien” art contest, which gives every fan with some ambition and a modicum of artistic talent a chance to have their work published in an issue of “Abe Sapien: Dark and Terrible,” as well as take home a complete set of Hellboy Library Editions, we decided to bring in some ringers, to show us how they interpret everyone’s favorite fish-man. We will be posting pieces each day for this entire month, so come join us for 31 Days of Abe!
We approached a lot of artists to be a part of “31 Days of Abe,” but only one requested a particular day for their piece to run. That artist? Erica Henderson, who chose March 23 because it is her birthday! So happy birthday Erica!
Besides being the birthday girl, Erica, until recently worked in video games, but is now making a major push in comics! She is working on amazing projects like the upcoming “Subatomic Party Girls” with our own Chad Bowers for Monkeybrain, and “Atomic Robo: Real Science Adventures” #7.
