To celebrate our “20 Years of Hellboy” art contest, which gives every fan with some ambition and a modicum of artistic talent a chance to have their work published in an upcoming Mignolaverse issue, as well as take home some sweet prizes, we decided to bring in some ringers, to show us how they interpret everyone’s favorite kind-hearted devil spawn. We will be posting pieces each day for this entire month, so enjoy our 31 Days of Hellboy!

Ben Oliver is a British artist, who recently has done issues of “Justice League” and “Batman/Superman” for DC, as well as covers on “Masters of the Universe: The Origin of He-Man,” “Birds of Prey,” and “Batwoman.” He was the artist behind the acclaimed “Action Comics” #0 from Grant Morrison, and was the artist on the first arc of “Batwing” with Judd Winick. Before his recent work with DC, Oliver illustrated part of Robert Kirkman’s run on “Ultimate X-Men,” did covers for “Evil Incarcerated: Osbourn,” did various stories for “2000 AD,” among much more.
