Guardians of the Galaxy is coming August 1, and July is going to be a celebration of all things Guardians AND a special benefit art month for Bill Mantlo here at Multiversity. All month, we’ll be posting Guardians-related pieces created by some of our favorite artists, and at the end of the month there will be an auction of many of the pieces of original art to help the man who created Rocket Raccoon, Bill Mantlo. It’s going to be an exciting month, but you can help Bill even if you don’t bid on any art. Read more about Bill and his story here, and if you feel moved to donate to Bill yourself, you can do so by clicking here.

David Petersen is the creator of the exceptional “Mouse Guard” from Archaia. Petersen has been justly awarded many accolades for his work, including winning Eisner Awards for Best Publication for Kids and Best Graphic Album – Reprint in 2008. You can check out his website, the official Mouse Guard website, his blog, and his Twitter (@mouseguard). His piece, however, is a colored version of an older commission, so it will not be up for auction. He didn’t have time for a full new piece but still wanted to contribute to the month, and we appreciate it. Thanks David!

If you are a professional artist interested in donating a piece for the auction, please email brian@multiversitycomics.com or david@multiversitycomics.com for more details.
