Guardians of the Galaxy is coming August 1, and July is going to be a celebration of all things Guardians AND a special benefit art month for Bill Mantlo here at Multiversity. All month, we’ll be posting Guardians-related pieces created by some of our favorite artists, and at the end of the month there will be an auction of many of the pieces of original art to help the man who created Rocket Raccoon, Bill Mantlo. It’s going to be an exciting month, but you can help Bill even if you don’t bid on any art. Read more about Bill and his story here, and if you feel moved to donate to Bill yourself, you can do so by clicking here.

Greg Smallwood is the artist and co-creator of “Dream Thief” for Dark Horse Comics, which just returned for another mini in June. He, along with writer Brian Wood, is set to take over “Moon Knight” for Marvel with issue #7. He also contributed, along with his “Dream Thief” co-creator Jai Nitz, to an issue of “A+X” last year, as well as contributing covers to Nitz’s “Grimm: The Warlock” miniseries, and covering “Robocop: Beta” last month. We are big fans of Greg’s at Multiversity, having named him one of our Breakout Artists of 2013. Check out his website, his Tumblr, his deviantArt page, and follow him on Twitter (@SavageSmallwood).

Greg’s uncolored piece will be auctioned off later this summer to benefit Bill Mantlo. Stay tuned for auction information!

If you are a professional artist interested in donating a piece for the auction, please email brian@multiversitycomics.com or david@multiversitycomics.com for more details.
