Guardians of the Galaxy is coming August 1, and July is going to be a celebration of all things Guardians AND a special benefit art month for Bill Mantlo here at Multiversity. All month, we’ll be posting Guardians-related pieces created by some of our favorite artists, and at the end of the month there will be an auction of many of the pieces of original art to help the man who created Rocket Raccoon, Bill Mantlo. It’s going to be an exciting month, but you can help Bill even if you don’t bid on any art. Read more about Bill and his story here, and if you feel moved to donate to Bill yourself, you can do so by clicking here.

Michael Walsh is the artist on the brand new volume of “Secret Avengers;” previously, Michael has illustrated “Comeback” for Image, “X-Files: Season 10” and “X-Files: Conspiracy – TMNT” for IDW, as well as done covers for “Harbinger,” “Archer and Armstrong,” “Hoax Hunters” and “Tiger Lawyer.” You can check out his Tumblr, his official store, and follow him on Twitter (@Mister_Walsh). He also once drew Brian an awesome M.O.D.O.K. commission.

Matt Wilson is the colorist on all the books you love, like “The Wicked + The Divine”, “Wonder Woman” and he also works with Michael on “Secret Avengers.” You can check out his blog and follow him on Twitter (@ColorNMatt), and you had best be buying his books because they are fantastic.

Michael’s uncolored piece will be auctioned off later this summer to benefit Bill Mantlo. Stay tuned for auction information!

If you are a professional artist interested in donating a piece for the auction, please email brian@multiversitycomics.com or david@multiversitycomics.com for more details.
