Reader Poll: Who is Your Favorite Jewish Comics Character?

Tonight at sundown begins Passover for our Jewish friends. A tradition dating back to the Exodus from Egypt, Passover is one of the most important holidays for the Chosen People, and we wish all of them a Happy and Healthy Passover. In that spirit, we thought it would be fun to ask a related question in this week’s reader poll: who is your favorite Jewish comics character? For an industry that was kickstarted by so many Jewish creators, there are surprisingly few Jewish comics characters, or at least characters who have been openly identified as Jewish.

That said, especially in Marvel Comics, there are some absolutely iconic Jewish characters, especially on the mutant side of the 616. So, take a look at our choices, vote in the poll, and let us know if we forgot anyone!

(For the record, these panels are from Dan Slott and Kieron Dwyer’s 2006 “The Thing” series, which we chose before yesterday’s announcement that Slott would write August’s “Fantastic Four” relaunch.)
