There was a time, not long ago, when the summer was a barren wasteland of reruns, reality TV, and old films. But in 2021, both due to the pandemic delaying things and due to the new media landscape, there are a bunch of new and returning comics shows that are on the airwaves (or internet wires) this summer. And so, we want to know, which are you looking most forward to?
In the returning category, we’ve got shows like Stargirl and The Walking Dead, two shows at different points in their runs, as well as Star Trek: Lower Decks, which is a fun, humorous take on a classic property.
But the real excitement comes in the form of the new shows, all of which come from Netflix or Disney+. Loki and What If? are both due from the House of Mouse this summer, and Netflix has Sweet Tooth, Masters of the Universe: Revelation, and Trese, three totally different shows that may have very little, if any, crossover between all three.
