The Tweet Off: The Final

The Final match up of our March Madness tournament to decide the best comic person on Twitter – which we call the Tweet Off – is here. As you can see above, Rob Guillory accurately predicted the match up a couple days ago, as it finds Hawkeye writer Matt Fraction square off against Chew artist Rob Guillory. But that’s enough of me yacking, let’s get below and look at the match ups.

Remember: this match up, like the rest, are decided by MC’s EIC Matt Meylikhov and Associate Editor David Harper (also the voice of @multiversitycom) both voting, with the tiebreaking vote going to you, the readers. Make sure to vote, as this will be a hotly contested matchup!

Their Work: If it was up to us, Rob Guillory would stop infecting our favorite Image comics with his good art and would instead become the permanent Editor-in-Chief of DC Comics. That way he could put Angela in DC Comics too, because we all know two things: a) Rob Guillory loves Angela and b) knows how to make DC Comics popular again. Instead, he draws dumb Eisner-winning comics and tweets prognostications and about ways to fix comics. Here’s a spoiler on his tactic: poop. Genius.

Matt Fraction thankfully is doing what we want him to do, which is making totally rad comics like #Hawkguy, Casanova, FF and the first all-ages friendly Fantastic Four comic in roughly 40 years. He also created the single greatest Twitter account ever, @HoboDarkseid (which I assume would be the flagship book of Rob Guillory’s DCU), and once wrote for MLB.com about baseball. Dude knows his baseball.

This is going to be good.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
