‘SDCC ’17 Exclusive: First Look at New “30 Days” at IDW

“30 Days of Night” is one of the the most significant horror comics of the past 30 years. Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith created an iconic world, bringing the vampire mythos to new places at a time when vampires were not even close to the pop-culture powerhouse that they’ve become since the 2002 debut of the series. The concept was simple and brilliant: in the wilds of Alaska, where during parts of the year the sun is absent for up to a month, vampires would thrive. The comic has spun off sequels, novels, and a feature film, but will always have its roots at IDW.

In December, the comic returns with a new title, which we are thrilled to exclusively reveal here: “30 Days,” a new series by co-creator Niles (“October Faction,” “Frankenstein Alive!”) and Piotr Kowalski (“Sex,” “Terminal Hero”). We have a first look at three interior pages from the first issue, as well as covers to the first issue by Kowalski, Ben Templesmith, Ashley Wood, and Gabriel Rodriguez.

More will be revealed Friday at San Diego Comic Con at the “IDW Publishing: The Rise of Fall” panel. The information for that panel, as well as the images, are below.
