First Second Books have unveiled the cover for “All Together Now,” Hope Larson’s follow up to her 2018 graphic novel “All Summer Long.” The sequel will see middle-school protagonist Bina now playing in a band with her friends Darcy and Enzo, only to start feeling like a third wheel when the other two start dating – and life becomes even more complicated when her best friend Austin starts developing a crush on her.

According to MacMillan Publishers, “All Together Now” will be 192 pages long, retail at about $12.99, and be suitable for readers age 10-14. Macmillan describes it as the second in “The Eagle Rock Trilogy,” and Larson confirmed on Twitter that there will a third book in the series. The second entry in Bina’s coming-of-age story will be released in the meantime on May 5, 2020.

Official synopsis:

Middle-schooler Bina is having the best time playing in her new band with her friends, Darcy and Enzo. But both the band and her friendships begin to crumble when Darcy and Enzo start dating, effectively relegating Bina to third-wheel status.

To make matters worse, Bina’s best friend, Austin, starts developing a crush on her . . . one she is not sure she reciprocates. Now Bina must follow her heart. Can she navigate its twists and turns before the lights come up and the music starts playing?

New York Times-bestselling author Hope Larson delivers a pitch-perfect follow-up for fans of “All Summer Long,” music lovers, and anyone navigating the ups and downs of friendship.
