Urban vigilantes are to comics as bitter old men are to Clint Eastwood movies, but I think by relying on the archetype, creators have been able to explore grittier or trippier or even sillier interpretations of the superhero mythos. And this newest teaser of some super secret project from Image looks like it’s combining all three. I mean, look at those Lady Deathstrike nails! That arachnid mask! I’m actually kind of digging how beat up the rest of his suit is, like, I don’t know if he just got out of a fight or is a superhero on a budget.
Like with the super-powered First Daughter tease yesterday, there’s not a lot beyond this image to go off on. Not even a list of creators, which I sort of find odd since Image is the current go-to house for creator owned comics. In any case, we’ll update you with more info when we learn it.
