Anyone who’s planned a wedding knows handling the politics and drama leading up to the big day is half the battle, and Batman and Catwoman’s wedding is no exception. The Nerdist reports that DC will release five “Batman: Prelude to the Wedding” one-shots in June, focused on the Bat-family’s actions prior to July’s Bat-Cat celebration. The specials, which will be written by Tim Seeley, illustrated by a variety of artists, and feature a series of connecting covers by Rafael Albuquerque, are:

– “Robin vs. Ra’s al Ghul,” illustrated by Brad Walker and Drew Hennessy, in which the youngest Wayne is once again asked to join his grandfather’s business.

– “Nightwing Vs. Hush,” illustrated by Travis Moore, in which Batman’s adopted son must battle his former best friend in order to get to the church on time.

Rafael Albuquerque's first two covers

– “Batgirl Vs. The Riddler,” illustrated by Minkyu Jung, in which the Riddler attempts to bring Barbara’s network of Bat-allies down.

– “Red Hood Vs. Anarky,” illustrated by Javier Fernandez, in which a most-likely grumpy Jason Todd stands guard over Catwoman’s bachelorette party.

– And finally, “Harley Quinn vs. The Joker,” illustrated by Sami Basri, in which Harley attempts to convince the Joker to stay away from Batman and Catwoman’s wedding.

Despite Harley’s best efforts, “Batman” #48 and #49 will see the Joker enact his own pre-wedding plan (likely hatched in the wake of “DC Nation” #0), in which he kidnaps the Dark Knight to set up some quality alone time.

Be sure to check out the full solicits for the “Batman: Prelude to the Wedding” specials, as well as the covers for “Robin Vs. Ra’s al Ghul,” “Nightwing Vs. Hush,” and “Batman” #48, by heading over to The Nerdist. Then make sure to finalize your own pre-wedding plans, before “Batman” #50 releases this July.
