If you’ve been struggling to track down the trade of “B.P.R.D.: Vampire” since it went out of print, then we’ve got some good news for you. Early next year, Dark Horse Comics will be releasing a second edition. Like the first edition it’ll collect “B.P.R.D.: Vampire” #1–5 by Mike Mignola, Fábio Moon, and Gabriel Bá, but it’ll include a few extras too—a new introduction from Fábio Moon and Gabriel Bá, and their new story from this year’s upcoming “Hellboy Winter Special.”

For those unfamiliar with “Vampire,” this miniseries follows B.P.R.D. agent Simon Anders after the events of “1947” and “1948,” which left him with the spirits of two vampire sisters bound inside him. However, the Brezina sisters will not be bound forever, and so Anders sets out on solo mission to find a way to destroy them before they destroy him. After the astonishing work of Moon and Bá on “1947,” Mignola set aside Simon Anders for the twin artists to develop as they see fit. 2013’s “Vampire” is meant to be the beginning of a series of tales following Agent Anders. Considering this was one of my favorite series from 2013, I’m very excited to see it back again.

Hellboy: Web of Wyrd (“word”), a new console/PC roguelite brawler from developer Upstream Arcade and publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment, marks the first video game to star Mike Mignola’s character since 2008’s disappointing movie tie-in The Science of Evil. Set in Argentina in 1982, the game finds Hellboy (voiced by the late Lance Reddick) and the […]
