Hot on the heels of “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes,” Weekly Shonen Jump publisher Shueisha has announced another “My Hero” spin-off, focused on the female students of Class 1A. It’s unknown whether this new comic, titled “My Heroine Academia,” will be a one-off or the start of an entirely new series, though it sure seems like the entertainment juggernaut that is “My Hero” could sustain another ongoing story.
The announcement, as detailed at ComicBook.com, came via the last page of this week’s chapter of “My Hero.” The page featured both the announcement and a short preview comic starring students Ochaco, Toru, Momo, and Kyoka, which a helpful fan began translating on Twitter.

It seems the series will be written and drawn by Akiyama Yoko, who is also currently working on the female-led adventure series “Saguri-chan Tankentai.” What, exactly, the series’s plot will be, and which characters it will follow is unknown, though each character featured in the announcement’s first panel will likely factor in somehow.
And of course, just as they’ve done with “Vigilantes,” it’s pretty much a lock that VIZ Media will be tracking how “My Heroine” performs overseas, with an eye toward bringing an English translation to the States and other English-speaking countries. ‘Til then, though, you’ll have to rely on your own knowledge of Japanese to follow the new adventures of “My Hero”‘s female supers.
