In case you missed it, Marvel Comics have announced three more ‘Empyre’ tie-ins releasing in May, including “Stormranger” and “Empyre: The Invasion of Wakanda.”

– Dark Horse Comics have announced two new international graphic novels and have debuted a preview for the already announced “Cuisine Chinoise.” The first new graphic novel is titled “Gert and the Sacred Stones,” created by Marco Rocchi and Francesca Carità, and originally from Italian publisher Tunué. “Gert and the Sacred Stones” tells the story of a young girl who sets out to become a warrior so she can defend her people from monsters surrounding her village.
The second graphic novel, from Italian publisher BAO Publishing, is “Papaya Salad” by cartoonist Elisa Macellari. It tells the story of Macellari’s great-uncle and his experiences as a Thai student living in Italy during World War II. These two graphic novels are set to release on August 26, 2020, while “Cuisine Chinoise” is set for a June 10, 2020 release.
– Dark Horse have also announced a new graphic novel titled, “Joe Death and the Graven Image,” by debut author and artist, Benjamin Schipper. The graphic novel is described as a lone gun story and follows Joseph Bones, Shadow of Death, as he and his friends try to outsmart the bandit, Scary Harry. The 152-page graphic novel goes on sale September 30, 2020.
– It has been announced that an Untitled Sony/Marvel film is set for an October 8, 2021 release date, making this the fifth film for Marvel on schedule for 2021. With the third Spider-Man film slated for July 16, 2021, and Spider-Verse 2 set for April 8, 2022, the new collaboration will be sure to surprise fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as predictions and rumors on the title are already being tossed around on the internet.
– It was reported that Gugu Mbatha-Raw will be joining the cast of the Disney+ series Loki. She will star alongside Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino. Mbatha-Raw recently appeared in Apple’s The Morning Show and is well known for her work in the acclaimed 2016 Black Mirror episode, “San Junipero.” She has also appeared in the live-action Beauty and the Beast and A Wrinkle in Time. Details on her Loki character have yet to be announced.
– DC Comics artist Mitch Gerads (“Mister Miracle,” “Batman,” “Strange Adventures”) has announced that he has renewed his exclusive contract with DC, stating that DC is “stuck” with him for a few more years.
– Finally, Kazoo, a quarterly magazine for ages 5 to 12 and that has been named “the magazine for little girls who want to grow up to be president” by Vogue, has released an official statement endorsing Elizabeth Warren for President in the 2020 election. Kazoo is the first kids’ magazine to make an official presidential endorsement.
