– After multiple delays, Vault’s “Fox and Hare” #1 is releasing on May 25. Created by writer Jon Tsuei and artist Stacey Lee, the cyberpunk series follows black market coder Aurora Yi as she uncovers “top secret data that has tapped into the past lives of the citizens of Mazu Bay,” and turns to the title mercenaries for protection against the Synastry Designs megacorp. “I’ve always been drawn to the cyberpunk genre, but I never saw myself represented in those stories, despite their heavy usage of Asian aesthetics,” Tsuei says of the project. “I began to wonder, what if Asian people reclaimed the aesthetics of cyberpunk and centered ourselves in the narrative?” Originally slated for a November 2021 release, the book was then bumped to February 2022 due to COVID-related delays. No explanation was given for the latest release date shift.

– Disappointed with Mexico’s policy of neutrality in regards to Ukraine, comic creator Héctor Rodríguez is sending his Mexican American superhero El Peso Hero to the country in a brand new comic. “El Peso Hero: Ucrania” sees the hero search for a missing Mexican Red Cross member, and defending refugees along the way. The 18-page comic can be read for free and encourages readers to donate to UNICEF’s relief fund for Ukrainian children. “El Peso Hero: Ucrania” is available here.

– Avery Hill Publishing has announced two new graphic novels. Tom Humberstone’s “Suzanne – The Jazz Age Goddess of Tennis” will tell the true story of Suzanne Lenglen, the pre-World War I tennis trailblazer. It’s due out on September 1 in the UK, and September 8 in the US. “Sennen,” the debut graphic novel from Shanti Rai, follows a young girl forced to flee her home village by masked figures demanding tribute for the gods. It is due out October 20 in the UK, and October 27 in the US.

– In a video posted to the official Star Wars YouTube channel, Obi-Wan Kenobi star Ewan McGregor announced that the Disney+ premiere would be moved two days back to Friday, May 27. However, the first two episodes will both premiere that day, with new episodes dropping on subsequent Wednesdays.

– In more Disney+ news, a special Easter egg can get Moon Knight watchers a free digital copy of the character’s first appearance. Reddit user Goalless discovered that a QR code visible in the first episode (seemingly just set dressing in a museum scene) can actually be scanned, leading to a special page on the Marvel Unlimited digital comic service, featuring a free digital copy of “Werewolf By Night” #32. The original Reddit post can be viewed here.

– The latest in a number of recent graphic novel announcements from Dark Horse, sci-fi trilogy “Joyama” will follow members of the elite Outrider Soldiers, as they solve a mystery and navigate politics in the titular sci-fi metropolis. Written and drawn by Daniel Isles (aka DirtyRobot), the first volume of the trilogy hits shelves on May 10, with the second following on December 13.

– Another new graphic novel announcement from Dark Horse, “GirlFIEND in Paris: A Bloodthirsty Bedtime Story” will see the Pander Brothers return to their 2015 horror crime drama “GirlFIEND.” The sequel will continue the love story of vampire Karina, and her mortal boyfriend Nick, now hunting down criminals to feed her bloodlust in the City of Love. It will be told from Karina’s perspective, and written entirely in poetic verse. The book is set to hit comic shops on October 12, with a bookstore release following on October 25.

– Shueisha, best known for publishing Weekly Shonen Jump, are expanding into video game development. The company has launched Shueisha Games, tweeting they were “excited to bring the knowledge & experience of years of publishing some of the world’s most famous manga to games!” They also announced their first four titles: ONI, Ukiyo, The Tower of Children, and Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions!. The company’s current efforts are expanding on their previous work with the Shueisha Game Creators Camp for indie developers.

– Finally, Multiversity alum Nick Palmieri announced via Twitter that his new comic “Egged” is available for pre-order now. The satirical one-shot features art from George Kambadais, and follows suburbanite Maria, who draws the attention of a conspiracy theorist after accidentally egging his car. Pip Bowland and Zak Saab handle colors and lettering respectively. Lane Lloyd provides cover art, with a variant provided by Kambadais. The book will be published by CEX on July 27 of this year.
