In case you missed it, Mark Russell and Mike Allred are teaming up on the prestige miniseries “Superman: Space Age.” We also had an exclusive preview of Skybound Comet’s “Sea Serpent’s Heir Book One: Pirate’s Daughter,” due out October.

'Berserk Vol. 41'

– Dark Horse Comics announced “Berserk Volume 41,” the final collection of the late Kentaro Miura’s manga, will be released in English this November. The book collects the last seven chapters (#358-364) Miura wrote and drew before his untimely death, at the age of 54, on May 6, 2021. “Berserk Volume 41” will retail for $14.99 in comics shops on November 9, and in bookstores on November 22.

– Marvel launched the next arc of Marvel Unlimited’s “X-Men Unlimited” (#29-33), which marks the return of the ‘X-Men: Green’ arc. Written this time round by Karla Pacheco, with art by Emilio Laiso and colorist Rachelle Rosenberg, the second storyline sees Nature Girl, Curse, Sauron, and former police dog Saoirse in pursuit of a group of whale hunters. The first chapter is out now, and will continue every Monday.

– Marvel and Disney also announced the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride will launch at EPCOT on Friday, May 27. The 360 degree “story coaster” will allow guests to join Rocket (who has claimed the Benatar‘s pilot seat after Star-Lord fell asleep) as he comes to the aid of the Nova Corps’ outpost on Earth. The ride’s opening will help mark the ongoing 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort’s opening in 1971.

– Mad Cave Studios have formed a bookstore distribution agreement with Simon & Schuster, effective immediately worldwide on August 1, 2022. Chris Fernandez, Publisher of Mad Cave Studios, commented, “We are beyond excited to be working with Simon and Schuster in the book market. This means a lot for Mad Cave currently, and even more for our future together. We truly believe in providing purpose-driven stories for all types of readers, and this relationship will help solidify Mad Cave’s philosophy.”

– Following Bill Skarsgard’s casting as Eric Draven last week, British music artist and actress FKA Twigs has joined The Crow reboot as Draven’s fiancée, and fellow murder victim Shelly Webster. The Hollywood Reporter‘s sources state her role will be beefed up accordingly, although “it is unclear if the character never quite dies, perhaps returns in some supernatural form, or may even be a representation of the crow itself.” Filming on the new Crow will begin under director Rupert Sanders this June.

– Finally, a team of academics and students from Northern Ireland’s Ulster University are collaborating on a multimedia project, Witches of Islandmagee, to educate readers about the country’s last witch trial (which took place in 1711.) The project will include a graphic novel, written by Dr. Andrew Sneddon and Dr. Victoria McCollum, with art by David Campbell. You can learn more about the project here, and check out the OGN’s artwork here.
