In case you missed it, we had exclusive previews of “The Panic” #2 and “Legion of X” #2, as well as the exclusive cover reveal of “Lastman Book Two.”

– ComiXology announced the newest addition to their Originals line in the form of “The Never Ending Party,” by writers Rachel Pollack and Joe Corallo, artists Eva Cabrera and Cons Oroza, letterers Zakk Saam and Micah Myers, and editor Noah Sharma. The five-part series follows Mindy Morrow, who used to attend a nightclub where ancient rituals for the Greek god Dionysus are performed, until she lost her lover, Lulu, when a ritual went wrong. Mindy is trying to live a life of normality, but her frenemy Kate Park seeks to tempt her back to the club. The book marks Pollack’s first comic since 1998’s “Vertigo Visions: Tomahawk.” You can check out a preview of the first issue here ahead of its release on June 7.
– Marvel Comics revealed the details of the final entry in the trilogy of Ms. Marvel team-up one-shots, “Ms.Marvel & Venom” #1, which will pair trilogy writer Jody Houser with artist Dave Wachter. The description teases that the two heroes will be working together to fight against “a scheme to harness the symbiote.” The final one-shot will also reveal the villain who has been orchestrating the events of all three stories. “Ms. Marvel & Wolverine” #1, with art by Zé Carlos, is scheduled for release on August 3, followed by “Ms. Marvel & Moon Knight” #1, by artist Ibraim Roberson, on August 17, and “Ms Marvel & Venom” #1 on September 14. Sara Pichelli will provide the one-shots with their primary cover art, whilst all three entries will be available with Peach Momoko variants. Check out all six of Pichelli and Momoko’s covers here.
– Kazé, the French manga, DVD, and Blu-ray publishing website, was incorporated into Crunchyroll, the latter announced. The move is set to “leverage the long experience of the internal teams that made Kazé successful” onto Crunchyroll to take the platform to “new heights,” according to the company’s President, Rahul Purini. The website had been the home of shows such as My Hero Academia and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure for French and German audiences. This is the latest change to Crunchyroll this year, following the discontinuation of its advert-included-but-delayed new release scheme and the merger with Funimation.
– Warner Bros. Discovery President, David Zaslav, reportedly intends to instate Joker director, Todd Phillips, into the role of “advisor” for future DC film adaptations, with him being involved in an “executive capacity.” The report does not detail the shape of plans for future DC films, such as the volume or content that is being planned, with Phillips’s reported advisory role only being loosely reminiscent of Kevin Feige’s wide-spread oversight as Creative Chief Officer of Marvel Entertainment. The same report states that Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy will move from roles as MGM executives to co-chairs of Warner Bros. and New Line, following the departure of Toby Emmerich.
– Marvel revealed that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be debuting on Disney+ on June 22. The film was released in theaters on May 6 and has generated a worldwide gross of almost $900 million to date. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness saw director Sam Raimi take the reigns and followed Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch)’s travels across the multiverse with debutant, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez). The film also saw the reprisals of the roles of Scarlet Witch and Wong by Elizabeth Olsen and Benedict Wong respectively. As part of the announcement a short clip of the cast thanking fans for their support of the film, and a new Disney+ streaming poster was released; you can find both here.
– Sony announced at last night’s State of Play presentation that Insomniac’s PlayStation exclusive Spider-Man games are coming to PC. Spider-Man Remastered, the 2022 edition of the 2018 video game including all DLC, will be released for Windows gamers on August 12, 2022, while Spider-Man: Miles Morales will launch later this fall. Insomniac’s Marvel games have sold through more than 33 million copies globally, and a full sequel, Spider-Man 2, will be released on PlayStation 5 sometime next year.
– Finally, DC confirmed a “Dreamer” graphic novel is in the works, written by Nicole Maines with art by Rye Hickman. Maines originated the role of Dreamer aka Nia Nal, an ancestor of the Legion of Super-Heroes character, on the Supergirl TV show, and previously wrote a story featuring her for last year’s “DC Pride” special. She is set to introduce the character to the main DC Universe with co-writer Tom Taylor and artist Clayton Henry in July’s “Superman: Son of Kal-El” #13. Maines has previously said the young adult book will follow a 15-year old Nia. No release date was given at this time.
