In case you missed it, we interviewed the creative team of “Web of Venom: Funeral Pyre.” We also had an exclusive five-page preview of “Ben 10: For Science!” which is in comic book stores today.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is officially the highest grossing Spider-Man film of all time, beating out director Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy that starred Tobey Maguire from 2002 to 2007. According to Box Office Mojo, Far From Home is nearing the $1 billion mark, having made around $971 million domestically and overseas in ticket sales so far.

— Netflix released a teaser for Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus, which is available on the streaming platform this August 16. The teaser features Zim, GIR, and the Minimoose presumably plotting humanity’s demise while laughing maniacally from the “official hiding room,” a.k.a. the bathroom.

— IDW is sending out replacement copies for the main cover of “Usagi Yojimbo” #2 after a printing error caused high levels of damage to it. The publisher will replace 100% of retailer orders for the issue at no cost, and new copies will arrive in stores August 7. They will feature a light blue colored IDW logo to distinguish them from the original copies, which featured a dark blue logo.

— Writer Tom King gave fans a sneak peak of some art by Clay Mann and Tomeu Morey from the upcoming “Batman/Catwoman” #1, which arrives in January 2020. The 12-issue series is meant to be a spinoff of the events of King’s ‘City of Bane’ arc, which began last week and ends with “Batman” #85.

— Cartoonist and illustrator Jillian Tamaki is offering two six-month mentorships (one based in Toronto, the other location-nonspecific) to cartoonists who are not currently enrolled in arts school. The deadline to apply is August 15; applicants can be of any age or skill level.

— Finally, during The Dragon Prince‘s panel at San Diego Comic-Con, creators Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond revealed that the franchise has a new collaboration with Scholastic intended to deepen the lore of the series. The deal includes a guidebook, graphic novels, and a core book that tells the story of the saga.
