– Mike W. Barr’s Eisner Award-nominated detective series “The Maze Agency” is returning for new issues courtesy of Scout Comics. Via CBR, the new issues come from Barr and artist Silvano Beltramo. The book was first published by Barr and artist Alan Davis, with Adam Hughes and Rick Magyar picking up artist duties when it received a seven-issue series published by Comico Comics. That run received a nomination for Best New Series at the Eisner Awards in 1989. “I’m delighted that ‘The Maze Agency’ has again found a home at Scout Comics,” Barr said. “Of all the features I’ve created, ‘Maze’ is my favorite, and I hope that shows in the scripts.” No official release date was provided for the revival.

– Actor Terry Crews has written a middle-grade graphic novel about his life. Via JaGurl TV, Crews announced the title “Terry’s Crew” on Twitter. The book details his years as an ambitious teenager growing up in Detroit, who faces numerous challenges in his quest succeed in class, as an athlete, and as an artist. Cory Thomas provides the art for the graphic novel, which is being published by Little, Brown’s Young Readers imprint. “Terry’s Crew” hits shelves on November 8 and is available for pre-order now.

– Hot off of the reveal last weekend of the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel has released a special prologue EP to lead into the upcoming film. Produced by award-winning composer Ludwig Göransson – who won an Oscar for his work on the score for Black Panther – the EP Wakanda Forever Prologue features music from artists that Göransson says were “akin to the characters and thematic material explored in the film,” including the cover of Bob Marley and the Wailers’ “No Woman, No Cry,” as performed in the trailer by the Nigerian artist Tems. The two additional tracks on the album are “A Body, A Coffin,” performed by Ghanian artist Amaare, and “Soy” by Mexican rapper Santa Fe Klan. The Wakanda Forever Prologue EP is available now; Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on November 11.

– Speaking of comic-inspired soundtracks: RZA has released a new album to accompany his graphic novel “Bobby Digital and the Pit of Snakes.” Via AllHipHop, the Wu-Tang Clan member’s upcoming comic crafts a story around the character of Bobby Digital, one of RZA’s alter-egos, and the subject of his experimental solo debut Bobby Digital in Stereo back in 1998. Z2 will be publishing “Bobby Digital and the Pit of Snakes” next month on August 13. It’s available for preorder, but you can listen to its accompanying soundtrack now.

– Actor David Warner, known for his roles in The Omen and Tron, has died at the age of 80 from a cancer-related illness. His death was confirmed by a statement from his family to the BBC. “Over the past 18 months he approached his diagnosis with a characteristic grace and dignity,” his family said. “He will be missed hugely by us, his family and friends, and remembered as a kind-hearted, generous and compassionate man, partner and father, whose legacy of extraordinary work has touched the lives of so many over the years.” That work included many iconic villain roles, including in Time Bandits and Titanic. Comic book fans may recognize his voice as that of Ra’s al Ghul in the DC Animated Universe TV shows. Per the BBC, he is survived by “his beloved partner Lisa Bowerman, his much-loved son Luke and daughter-in-law Sarah, his good friend Jane Spencer Prior, his first wife Harriet Evans and his many gold dust friends.”

– Paul Sorvino, a character actor best known for his role as Paulie Cicero in Goodfellas, also died at the age of 83 of natural causes. His death was reported by his wife, Dee Dee Benkie. Via The Hollywood Reporter, his daughter, actress Mira Sorvino, posted a tribute to him on Twitter. “My heart is rent asunder – a life of love and joy and wisdom with him is over,” she wrote. “He was the most wonderful father. I love him so much. I’m sending you love in the stars Dad as you ascend.” Along with respected roles in classics like The Gambler, Reds, and Romeo + Juliet, Sorvino had a pair of roles in comic adaptations on his resume: gang leader Eddie Valentine in The Rocketeer, and club owner Lips Manlis in Dick Tracy. He is survived by his wife, his three children, and five grandchildren.
