In case you missed it, we interviewed Dan Watters and Dani Strips about their new Image series “Coffin Bound.”

– Kicking off, BOOM! Studios announced a graphic novel program to collect out of print “Buffy the Vampire” comics in a new format called the “Buffy the Vampire: Legacy Edition.” These new volumes will collect every “Buffy” comic from every previous publisher in chronological order, and feature work from the likes of Andi Watson, Jen Van Meter, Christopher Golden and Dan Brereton. The first book goes on sale April 8, 2020.
– DC Comics has cancelled the first three issues of Warren Ellis and Ramon Villalobos’s “WildCats” series, and have stated they will resolicit the issues at a later date. Diamond Comic Distrubutors informed retailers of the news today, but did not give a reason for the change. The six-issue miniseries was set to begin on August 28th.
– Marvel Comics revealed a reprint of “Amazing Spider-Man” #300 that presents the 1988 comic in 3D! The famous David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane comic that debuted Venom will be sold the end of this month complete with 3D glasses as “Amazing Spider-Man: Venom 3D” #1.
– It was revealed that Aquaman director James Wan has a horror project in the works to direct before he takes the reigns on Aquaman 2. This comes as the first official confirmation that Wan will return for the preciously announced sequel that is set to hit theaters December 16, 2022.
– Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced the release date for the upcoming The Death and Return of Superman Complete Film Collection as October 1, 2019. The collection will combine the previous two animated films The Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen into one 166-minute movie complete with added material. The limited collector’s edition run of this film will also come packaged with a Steel figure.
– And finally, science-fiction writer Alyssa Wong, who has co-written a back-up in “Aero” with writer Greg Pak and artist Pop Mhan, has been the victim of a harassment campaign attributing a fake tweet to her criticizing Stan Lee following his death. The tweet is 100% false. Wong also tweeted to clarify the tweet wasn’t hers as well. Wong had been previously been critical of Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski when it was revealed he wrote for Marvel under the name Akira Yoshida. The fake tweet appears to be perpetuated by the ComicsGate hate movement in their continued harassment of women, queer folks, and people of color in the industry.
