In case you missed it, Marvel announced “Riri Williams: Ironheart,” a new ongoing series from Eve Ewing and Kevin Libranda; we also have an interview with Marv Wolfman and a preview of tomorrow’s “Raven: Daughter of Darkness” #7.

– Cullen Bunn and Vanesa R. Del Rey’s “The Empty Man” will return as an ongoing series from BOOM! Studios in November. Bunn will return to write, with Jesus Hervas illustrating this time around. The original mini-series came out in 2014 and is being adapted into a film from 20th Century Fox with David Prior writing and directing.

– JG Jones (“Final Crisis,” “Wanted”) is taking a break from art to get a stem cell transplant as a result of his Polycythemia Vera, a rare blood cancer. He has been living with the disease for the last seven or eight years, but it has recently transformed into Myelofibrosis, which is where the bone marrow begins to fail. The artist will be working on writing a new graphic novel while in recovery.

– Kevin Smith has revealed his “Hit-Girl” arc, titled ‘The Golden Rage of Hollywood,’ will see Mindy McCready go to Los Angeles to wage war on predators in the movie industry. The four issue arc, illustrated by Danish animator Pernille Orum, will begin in January’s “Hit-Girl” #13.

– Stjepan Sejic (“Aquaman,” “Death Vigil”) confirmed on Twitter that he will no longer be drawing “Justice League Odyssey” starting with issue #3, after solicits for the issue were announced yesterday with Philippe Briones on art. The move is due to scheduling conflicts resulting from the book’s months-long delays.

Declan Shalvey is joining the Charles Soule penned “Return of Wolverine” for issues #2-4. Marvel debuted “one of” Wolverine’s new costumes for the story along with the announcement. The five-issue mini-series debuts on September 19, 2018 with Steve McNiven on art for issue #1 (and who will also return for #5). Issue #2 follows on October 24.

– The Kieron Gillen curated “24 Panels” anthology will be released on November 21, 2018. The collection of 24 stories will raise money for the Trauma Response Network, which supports PTSD survivors, in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire last year. It features new work from Alan Moore and his wife Melinda Gebbie, Laurie Penny, Paul Cornell, Dilraj Mann, Antony Johnston, Alex de Campi, and others.

– Sina Grace is bringing together Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends in the pages of “Iceman” #3. Firestar and Spider-Man will join Iceman after a run-in with Mr. Sinister. Grace made a promise to “one-up Chip Zdarsky on quips and dynamic action!”

– “Moon Knight” main artist Jacen Burrows is leaving the title for an unspecified “major new project at Marvel.” His last full issue was #198, but he has some art in the #200 anniversary issue.

– Inbar Lavi (Imposters) has joined the cast of Lucifer as Eve, “the original sinner herself,” in the upcoming season debuting on Netflix.

– Original Deadpool 2 concept artist Alexander Lozano revealed that there were originally plans to include 2015’s Fantastic Four in the film when he and Deadpool director Tim Miller were still on the project. The concept artist posted the character designs for the foursome on Instagram.
