In case you missed it, Marvel Comics have announced a new, ongoing “Scarlet Witch” series by Steve Orlando with art by Sara Pichelli. We also have an exclusive preview of “Justice Warriors” #4, and an interview with Rachele Aragno about “Leonide the Vampyr,” which will continue in December with “A Christmas for Crows.”

– Via The Root, Marvel Comics have announced a relaunch of “Miles Morales: Spider-Man,” written by Cody Ziglar with art by Federico Vicentini. The book sees Miles faced with a new villain, one that threatens everyone and everything close to him, while also navigating through life as a teenager. Ziglar said ““He’s done super cool multiple dimensions, but let’s just take him down to the street level guy, and also give him a new mentor.” That new mentor will be none other than Misty Knight. The new “Miles Morales: Spider-Man” #1 will be released in December, following the conclusion of Saladin Ahmed’s run with issue #42 on September 28.
– Marvel also announced a new “Timeless” #1, an end of year one-shot designed to set the stage for upcoming stories in the Marvel Universe. This will be Marvel’s second year in a row releasing the title. Written by Jed MacKay with art from Salvador Larroca, Greg Land and Patch Zircher, the one-shot will once again follow Kang the Conqueror as he searches for the one thing he cannot have, the Missing Moment. The sprawling story will see Kang on the run through the future as we get glimpses of what’s to come in the Marvel Universe. “Timeless” #1 (2022) will be available December 28, 2022.
– Rounding out the Marvel news, the publisher announced “Spider-Man: The Friendly Neighborhood Pet-Sitter,” an all-ages graphic novel from cartoonist Mike Maihack and publisher Abrams Books. The 96-page graphic novel will see Spider-Man make sure all of the Avengers’ pets are safe, while the Avengers deal with a threat in New York City. It will feature Lucky the Pizza Dog, Redwing, Frog Thor, Chewie the “Cat,” and many more of Earth’s Mightiest pets. Check out Marvel’s interview with Mike Maihack, as well as a preview of the book here. “Spider-Man: The Friendly Neighborhood Pet-Sitter” will be available in June 2023.
– Via The Hollywood Reporter, screenwriter Mattson Tomlin will team with Lee Bermejo for BOOM! Studios’s “A Vicious Circle.” This three-issue prestige miniseries follows two men cursed to roam across time and space in an unending cycle of violence and revenge. The book spans from the 22nd century to the 1950s and through time until the Cretaceous period. “A Vicious Circle” will debut in December.
– DC Comics have revealed the final cover for “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths” #7 by Daniel Sampere and Alejandro Sanchez. Additionally, in celebraton the future of the DC Universe spinning out of “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths,” artist Dan Mora has illustrated four connecting variant covers that will launch the next era at DC, dubbed the ‘Dawn of the DCU.’ The official synopsis for “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths” #7 reads, “The Great Darkness has been defeated but the final war is just beginning. The remaining heroes must take on Deathstroke’s Dark Army to end everything once and for all. Find out who comes out on top.” As a tribute to the late George Pérez, DC will issue a premium foil variant featuring this year’s tribute piece, depicting the artist and all the characters he was known for drawing. “Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths” #7 will be available on December 20, 2022.
– Deadline reports Jeff Loveness will pen Avengers: The Kang Dyntasy. Loveness will join Destin Daniel Cretton, who was recently set as director on the film. Loveness also wrote Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will lead directly into the fifth Avengers film. Quantumania will be released on February 17, while Avengers: The Kang Dyntasy is set to be released on May 2, 2025.
– Finally, HBO Max unveiled the trailer for the second season of Batman: The Audio Adventures, the radio-style drama of Batman and Robin’s adventures. The official descripton reads: “Gotham City. A seething cauldron of crime and corruption about to boil over. While The Joker remains at large, criminal kingpins and former rivals The Penguin and Two-Face have combined their villainous might — and the mysterious narcoterrorist known as Scarecrow remains unidentified, even as his chemical nightmares plague the city. The schism between Batman and Catwoman grows ever larger as both escalate their separate wars on crime, threatening dire consequences for both. And former doctor or something Harleen Quinzel is living for a love that’s slowly killing her, just waiting for inspiration to strike.” Batman: The Audio Adventures returns October 7, with 10 new episodes.
