In case you missed it, Marvel announced “Meet the Skrulls,” which will be published in March to coincide with the release of Captain Marvel (for which a new trailer will debut during tonight’s Monday Night Football on ESPN).

– ComiXology Originals announced “Elephantmen 2261: Holiday Special,” a follow-up to this year’s miniseries “Elephantmen 2261: The Death of Shorty.” Written and lettered by creator Richard Starkings, with art by Axel Medellin, the story will follow Hip Flask as he tries to cheer up his friends over the holidays. The comic will also have a back-up story set outside the “Elephantmen” universe by Starkings and “Superfreaks” artist Margaux Saltel, titled ‘MARZIPAN!,’ which is about a little girl and an alien who fall in love. The book will be released on December 12.

– Marvel announced a collaboration with Japanese band Sekai no Owari titled “End of the World” (a literal translation of the band’s name). The comic, written by Greg Pak and penciled by Takeshi Miyazawa (“Mech Cadet Yu”), reimagines the band as superheroes, and it will be part of a multimedia project that also includes a motion comic music video.

– Skybound Books will publish The Walking Dead: Typhoon, a prose novel by author Wesley Chu (Time Salvager, The Lives of Tao) exploring how the zombie apocalypse has affected China. The book will be published sometime before 2020 – hit the link for more on Skybound Books’ upcoming slate.

– In further Walking Dead news, the show’s sets at Riverwood Studios in Senoia, Georgia, will now open to the public for the first time. The officially guided studio tours will take place every weekend from December 14, with tickets going from $65 for adults (ages 12+) to $45 for children (under the age of 12). For more information, head to The Walking Dead Studio Tour.

The Americans writer and producer Stephen Schiff has been tapped as executive producer and showrunner on Disney+’s upcoming Cassian Andor series. And in more news from a Galaxy Far Far Away, actor Nick Nolte (Hulk) has been cast in the streaming service’s first Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.

– Speaking of Disney+, Deadline revealed the service’s planned Wanda Maximoff series is titled Vision and the Scarlet Witch, indicating Paul Bettany will co-star in the Elizabeth Olsen vehicle. Head on over there for more from the wide-ranging report, which takes a look at every female-centric superhero film and TV project in the works.

– According to Film Music Reporter, Aquaman will feature an original song by Skylar Grey, titled “Everything I Need.” The soundtrack album, which includes the original score by composer Rupert Gregson-Williams (Wonder Woman), is set to be released on December 14, five days ahead of the film’s release.

– In a promo trailer, Netflix announced the second, ten-part season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will bow on April 5, 2019. In the meantime, a holiday special, “A Midwinter’s Tale,” will be released on December 14.

– Finally, before the weekend, after the cancellation of Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, we asked for your thoughts on the future of Marvel’s Netflix characters. 32 percent of you chose “The new Disney+ streaming site will pick up some/all of the shows/characters,” while 30 percent responded, “They’re done, and any future versions of those characters will be recast.” Either way, most of you believe the characters’ futures lies in the hands of Marvel Studios, who are producing the Disney+ series instead of Marvel TV.
