Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the weekend. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Marvel Entertainment has released the teaser trailer to their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. You’ve probably already watched this. You’re probably going to watch it again just because you saw the link above. And Kevin Feige will continue laughing from his office as he bathes in that sweet sweet money and tightens his hold over the franchise. Director James Gunn shot this in 8K and that may be the most interesting thing I can say about this movie. (Though 35mm is still better.)
– Continuing their push of reprinting everything in their catalogue, DC has announced they will be collecting Jack Kirby’s “Super Powers” series. Apparently these comics were the only time Kirby drew the Justice League. They also announced they will be collecting John Byrne’s run on “Wonder Woman.” The first volume will be out in May and collects “Wonder Woman” #101-113. Bryne worked on the series for three years, turning in 36 issues.
– Saturday Night Live featured another Trump-inspired skit over the weekend, and, if you hadn’t guessed, the United States President-Elect threw a tantrum about it. Political cartoonists have started responding in their own right.
– If anything, this should be another reminder to support groups like The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, who are gearing up for the worst.
– Hide your surprise, but Netflix has officially green lit the second season of Luke Cage. But with all the other Marvel shows on the docket, it doesn’t look like Netflix will be able to get around to it at all at least until next fall.
– SyFy is developing The Woods for TV. The James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas Boom! series is about a bunch of high schoolers who are whisked off to an alien world. The show is under the guidance of Brad Peyton, who’s made such classics as San Andreas and Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.
