Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the weekend. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Amazon Studios has ordered a pilot for a reboot of “The Tick”. Ben Edlund, creator of the character, as well as the man in charge of the cartoon and live action series, will be a writer and executive producer. Patrick Warburton, who played the titular hero in the 2001 Fox series, will not return for the production.
– Tasha Robinson chats with cartoonist Alex Robinson over at The Comics Journal. They talk about everything from process, “Box Office Poison”, hype and anticipation, and projects that fell through. It’s an interesting conversation and well worth a read.
– Denver is launching its own independent comic show, DINK — the Denver Independent Comic and Art Expo, and with it, they’re presenting the DINKie awards. Nominees include Sam Spina, Emi Gennis, Michael DeForge, and Alison Wilgus, among many others. Make sure to check the link for a full list of nominees.
– Marvel is partnering up with the National Academy of Sciences’ Science and Entertainment Exchange to launch the Girts Reforming the Future challenge. Targeted toward girls grades 10 through 12, the contest invites girls to submit a “short video demonstrating a transformative science idea and explaining its potential.” Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Scarlet Witch in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, sez, “The goals of superheroes and visionary scientists are one and the same: to safeguard humanity, protect the earth at all costs, and make the world a better place for future generations.” Contestants have until March 26th to submit their project.
– Check out these images from the French animated adaptation of “The Summit of the Gods”. Originally published in “Business Jump” from 2000-2003, the manga series by Jiro Taniguchi tells the story of a photographer who stumbles across a camera that may have belonged to a long lot mountaineer. Unfortunately, this movie isn’t for sure, but rather a preview of what it could be were it to find financing and distribution.
